Using LeanLine
Terms of Service
The rules for using LeanLine, including its license, purchases, social features, challenges, and Squads.
Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using LeanLine (the “Licensed Application”), you agree to these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (“Terms” or “EULA”). If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
You and the Developer acknowledge that this EULA is concluded between you and the Developer only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content. This EULA does not provide usage rules for the Licensed Application that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions as of the effective date.
LeanLine is operated by Minjian Hu, an individual developer. For questions, complaints, or claims, contact: LeanLine@163.com.
2. Scope of License
The license granted to you for the Licensed Application is limited to a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Licensed Application on Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
The Licensed Application may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where permitted by Apple.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, attempt to extract the source code of, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or create derivative works from the Licensed Application except where applicable law expressly permits such activity.
3. Eligibility
LeanLine is not intended for children below the minimum age required to use digital services or provide valid consent in their country or region. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country, you may use LeanLine only with consent from a parent or legal guardian.
By using LeanLine, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that your use of the app complies with applicable laws.
4. Accounts and Account Recovery
LeanLine may create an anonymous account without asking for an email address, phone number, or real name. You are responsible for maintaining access to the device and credentials associated with an anonymous account. Deleting LeanLine, losing the device, or losing the stored authentication credentials may make an unprotected anonymous account and its server-side social data inaccessible.
You may optionally protect an existing account with Sign in with Apple. Account protection is required before purchasing a Personal or Iconic LeanLine Code. The protection process is intended to link Apple to the same LeanLine account rather than create a replacement account. Existing users are not required to link Apple merely to continue using LeanLine’s other available features.
You must provide accurate information where requested, keep your device and account access secure, and promptly contact us if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not sell, transfer, share, or use another person’s LeanLine account without permission.
5. Medical and Health Disclaimer
LeanLine is a fitness tracking and social motivation tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease or medical condition.
LeanLine does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, nutrition advice, or weight-loss instructions. Any information, score, streak, chart, challenge, Squad leaderboard, or notification shown in LeanLine is for personal tracking and motivation only.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise, weight-loss, weight-gain, or health regimen, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have a history of disordered eating, or are under medical supervision.
You are solely responsible for your health decisions and for using LeanLine in a safe and appropriate manner.
6. Social Features, Challenges, and Squads
LeanLine includes optional social features, including friends, challenges, Squads, reactions, leaderboards, invite codes, profile avatars, nicknames, and shareable progress cards.
When you use these features, other users may see information such as your nickname, avatar, current streak, Squad membership, Squad role, Pro badge status, reactions, relative progress, logging activity, leaderboard position, and challenge or Squad cycle results.
LeanLine is designed so your actual body weight remains local to your device and is not uploaded to LeanLine servers. However, social features may display relative progress, such as weight lost or gained, percentage change, or habit-mode logging activity, such as how many times or days you logged weight. You understand that this information may still reveal trends about your body or habits.
You are responsible for choosing who you connect with, challenge, invite, or join in a Squad. Only accept friend and challenge requests from people you trust, and only join or share Squad codes with people you trust. Squad invite codes may be forwarded by other users, and LeanLine cannot control screenshots, recordings, saved images, or information shared outside the app by other users.
7. User Content
“User Content” means any content or information you submit, upload, display, send, or make available through LeanLine, including nicknames, avatars, Squad names, Squad background images, reactions, reports, invite messages, and shared cards.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By using LeanLine, you grant the Developer a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, and transmit your User Content only as needed to operate, maintain, improve, secure, and provide LeanLine.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to use and share it.
8. User Conduct and Objectionable Content
LeanLine has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. By using the app, you agree not to upload, share, send, encourage, or engage in any behavior that:
- is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or bullying;
- targets or shames another person based on body size, weight, appearance, disability, health condition, eating habits, or fitness level;
- encourages unsafe weight loss, unsafe weight gain, self-harm, eating disorders, or medically risky behavior;
- is sexually explicit, pornographic, exploitative, or contains nudity;
- infringes the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity or affiliation;
- abuses social features, including spam friend requests, challenge invites, Squad invites, reactions, reports, or notifications;
- attempts to scrape, harvest, expose, or misuse another user’s profile, avatar, progress, logging activity, Squad membership, or challenge data;
- involves capturing, screenshotting, recording, distributing, or publishing another user’s profile, avatar, challenge progress, Squad progress, leaderboard position, logging activity, or other social information outside LeanLine without their explicit prior consent, especially for harassment, bullying, public shaming, or malicious intent;
- attempts to interfere with, disrupt, exploit, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to LeanLine, its servers, accounts, or data.
- violates any applicable law, regulation, or legal right of another person.
9. Moderation, Blocking, Reporting, and Enforcement
LeanLine provides features to block and report abusive users or inappropriate content. You may also contact LeanLine@163.com to report safety concerns.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, restrict, or disable access to User Content or accounts that we believe violate these Terms, create legal risk, harm other users, or interfere with the operation of LeanLine.
We may suspend or terminate access to LeanLine, remove users from Squads, restrict social features, delete content, or take other appropriate action at our sole discretion and without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect the app.
Blocking a user may remove or limit your visibility to that user in LeanLine, but it cannot undo screenshots, recordings, saved content, or information already shared outside the app.
10. Privacy
Your use of LeanLine is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at:
https://huuminstudio.github.io/leanline/privacy/
The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how social features work, how relative progress and habit-mode logging activity may be shared, and how deletion requests are handled.
11. Apple Health and System Integrations
LeanLine may optionally integrate with Apple Health, Siri, Shortcuts, notifications, widgets, and other iOS system features.
HealthKit access is optional. If you grant HealthKit permission, LeanLine may read and write Body Mass data only for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. LeanLine does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or sale to third parties.
You can manage or revoke Apple Health permissions at any time through iOS Settings.
12. Premium Subscriptions and Lifetime Purchases (LeanLine PRO)
LeanLine offers auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase option to unlock premium features.
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Renewal Charges: Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, and Apple will identify the renewal cost.
- Management and Cancellation: You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store Account Settings after purchase.
- Free Trials and Offers: If a free trial or promotional offer is available, eligibility and billing are determined by Apple. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted by Apple’s rules.
- Refunds: Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. The Developer does not directly process payments or refunds.
- Price Changes: Subscription prices may change from time to time. Apple will provide notice where required, and continued subscription use will be governed by Apple’s applicable subscription rules.
- Lifetime Purchases: A Lifetime LeanLine PRO purchase grants access to the premium features included in the Lifetime PRO tier at the time of purchase, plus standard updates to those features. Personal and Iconic LeanLine Codes are separate consumable purchases and are not included in PRO subscriptions or Lifetime PRO. The Developer may introduce other separate premium add-ons, paid services, higher tiers, or features with substantial ongoing third-party or server costs in the future. Those offerings may not be included in legacy Lifetime PRO purchases.
13. Personal and Iconic LeanLine Code Purchases
LeanLine may offer Personal and Iconic Codes as consumable in-app purchases. These purchases are separate from LeanLine PRO, including Lifetime PRO.
- What You Purchase: One completed purchase provides one credit to change the eligible LeanLine account’s current Code to one available Code in the applicable tier. A credit is consumed when the Code change is successfully completed. It does not provide repeated or unlimited changes.
- Account Protection: You must protect the current LeanLine account with Sign in with Apple before purchasing or redeeming a Code credit. This requirement exists to reduce the risk of losing access after reinstalling LeanLine or changing devices.
- Prices and Tiers: The app displays the price and currency supplied by Apple for your storefront. The Personal or Iconic classification and the product required for a candidate Code are determined by LeanLine’s current Code rules.
- Availability and Reservations: Checking a Code does not guarantee ownership or availability. LeanLine may temporarily reserve a candidate Code while a purchase or previously issued credit is completed. A reservation may expire, and a Code is assigned only after LeanLine confirms the applicable transaction or credit and completes the change.
- No Ownership Right: A LeanLine Code is an in-service identifier and a limited contractual feature, not property, intellectual property, a domain name, currency, or a transferable asset. You may not sell, sublicense, auction, transfer, or commercially broker a Code or Code credit.
- Code Changes and Retirement: When a Code change succeeds, the prior Code may be permanently retired and will not be reassigned to another user. Previously shared LeanLine invite links may resolve to the account’s current Code so that existing links continue to work.
- Moderation and Technical Changes: We may reject, reserve, change, disable, or remove a Code that violates these Terms, impersonates another person or organization, infringes rights, creates security or abuse risk, or must be changed for technical or legal reasons. Where reasonable, we may provide a replacement Code or credit, subject to applicable law.
- Purchases, Delays, and Restoration: Apple processes payment. RevenueCat and LeanLine validate the transaction and make the credit or Code available. Verification can be delayed by Apple, network, or backend processing. If payment succeeds but the Code change is not completed, LeanLine may preserve a credit for later completion rather than charge again.
- Refunds: Refund requests and decisions are handled by Apple under Apple’s rules. If Apple refunds or revokes a transaction after its Code credit was consumed, LeanLine may revoke the related benefit and replace the affected Code with a standard randomly assigned Code, subject to applicable law. Refund processing does not restore a retired Code.
- Deletion: Deleting an account ends the right to use its current Code. Limited transaction, refund, retired-Code, fraud-prevention, safety, and legal records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Except where applicable law provides otherwise, we do not guarantee that a requested Code will remain available, that a particular Code will have market or social value, or that an in-service Code will remain unchanged forever.
14. Availability, Changes, and Discontinuation
LeanLine may change over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features, including social features, Squads, challenges, sharing tools, notifications, or PRO features.
We may also suspend or discontinue the app or any part of it if needed for technical, legal, business, security, or operational reasons. Where practical, we will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that any feature will remain available forever.
15. Maintenance and Support
The Developer is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the Licensed Application as specified in this EULA or as required under applicable law.
You and the Developer acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish maintenance or support services with respect to the Licensed Application.
16. Warranty Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
The Developer is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application where applicable. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, emotional distress, reputational harm, or damages arising from user conduct, social interactions, screenshots, shared content, challenge participation, Squad participation, or reliance on app information.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
18. Product Claims
You and the Developer acknowledge that the Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession or use of the Licensed Application, including but not limited to:
- product liability claims;
- claims that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement;
- claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, health data, or similar legislation;
- claims relating to the Licensed Application’s use of HealthKit or other Apple frameworks.
19. Intellectual Property Rights
The Licensed Application, including its design, software, graphics, trademarks, logos, text, and other content, is owned by the Developer or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
In the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of the Licensed Application infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, you and the Developer acknowledge that the Developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such intellectual property infringement claim.
20. Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that:
- you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and
- you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You agree to comply with all applicable laws when using LeanLine.
21. Third-Party Services and Terms
LeanLine may rely on third-party services, including Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, and OneSignal. Your use of LeanLine may be subject to applicable third-party terms and policies.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Licensed Application, including Apple’s terms and your wireless data service agreement.
22. Third-Party Beneficiary
You and the Developer acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary.
23. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or the Developer.
You may stop using LeanLine at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to LeanLine if you violate these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure, abuse other users, misuse social features, or otherwise use LeanLine in a way that may harm the app, users, or Developer.
Upon termination, your right to use LeanLine will end. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions related to user conduct, privacy, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute-related terms, and Apple’s third-party beneficiary rights.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of LeanLine after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using LeanLine.
25. Contact Information
